Our restaurant brings people together in a relaxed, social setting where the atmosphere is as vibrant and inviting as the dishes we serve.

Our Ingredients & Local Produce

We’re proud to champion the very best of Devon, with a special focus on Dartmoor Farmers.

These farmers have been custodians of Dartmoor National Park for generations. Their native-breed cattle and sheep roam freely across the moor, grazing on lush, natural pasture all year round. This grass-fed, slow-reared approach produces beef and lamb with exceptional flavour and tenderness — a true reflection of the land it comes from.

By choosing Dartmoor Farmers, we’re helping to support sustainable, low-mile farming that protects both the environment and the heritage of our local community.

Our Craft — Dry-Aged & Butchered In-House

Taking our passion for quality one step further, we’ve recently added our own dry-ageing fridge at Ollie’s.

Here, we carefully age and butcher our beef in-house to develop incredible texture and rich, deep flavour. And if you love what you taste, you can even take a piece home — our in-house cuts are available to buy directly from the restaurant.

Our Story

Ollie’s is proudly family-run by brother and sister duo Oliver and Lydia.

When the Covid pandemic brought them back home to Torquay — after years apart pursuing their careers (Lydia in theatre and Oliver as a head chef) — it felt like the perfect moment to create something together.

From that shared passion, Ollie’s was born: a place built on family, flavour, and local pride.

Our Venues

Five years on, the Ollie’s family has grown:

🍸 The Bit on the Side — our boutique cocktail bar next door, serving creative drinks in a relaxed and stylish setting.

🍝 Portofino, Wellswood — an Italian eatery open Tuesday to Sunday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering a taste of Italy right here in Torquay.
