Our story

Welcome to Ollie’s — a family-run restaurant in the heart of Torquay, created by brother and sister duo Oliver and Lydia.

At Ollie’s, everything begins with exceptional local ingredients. We work closely with trusted Devon producers, especially Dartmoor Farmers, whose grass-fed herds roam freely across the moor to produce beef and lamb with outstanding flavour.

Our commitment to quality continues in-house, where we now dry-age and butcher our own beef, offering cuts that can be enjoyed in the restaurant — or taken home to savour.

Born from a shared passion during the Covid years, Ollie’s has grown into a vibrant space where great food, community, and family come together.

Today, the Ollie’s family includes The Bit on the Side, our boutique cocktail bar next door, and Portofino, Wellswood, an Italian eatery serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
